The only people that can keep it alive are artists…[The] artist[s] function is the mythologization of the environment and the world.” –– Joseph Campbell, The Power of Myth - ‘The First Storytellers’ Year Zero asks artists to conjure new magic, rituals, and mythologies to transcend polarities, and transform cultural attitudes to guide us through these difficult times in contemporary society. Artists and visionaries have the power to stimulate new ways of thinking and reimagined approaches to stagnant and paralyzing situations and issues. Year Zero seeks submissions exploring concepts to elevate consciousness, alter our current (binary) perceptions, and propel us forward into a new universal vision. |
